Info Needed: German made Mepoco canister set Any info would be appreciated, the set consists of 15 pieces not including lids. My great grandmother brought it over from Poland before 1909. The color is sort of orange with a purple-pink poppy design, and gold trim and writing. The bottom is stamped in a round circle mepoco made in germany, a letter R indented in the bottom, #6022, and what looks like the number 12 handwritten. There are no chips or cracks, but I am missing one small lid from a spice piece.
Re: Info Needed: German made Mepoco canister set I also have a cannister set with similar markings. Mepoco ware, M in the center, "made in Germany" number 6132. There is also a "d" in the bottom. It is a full spice canister set, larger canisters for flour and sugar, and includes cruets for oil and vinegar.
Re: Info Needed: German made Mepoco canister set I would also like to find out the value of a Mepoco canister set -- totally complete! with no chips or scratches -- #6454. Can you help? Thanks.
Re: Info Needed: German made Mepoco canister set Hi,
I don't have any information for you but just picked up a set of these canisters as well. If you have receieved any feedback, value etc. I would appreciate it.
Re: Info Needed: German made Mepoco canister set I have a complete Mepoco #6037 canister set that my grandmother passed on to me. It has 6 large size canisters, 6 spice jars, oil and vinegar jars. They all have lids. They are Mother of Pearl finish with beautiful purple flowers across the jars in a "stripe-like" fashion. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.
Re: Info Needed: German made Mepoco canister set Still have not found anything out. Tried replacement.com and they were unable to find anything, they would need to do research on it to find out anything..
Re: Info Needed: German made Mepoco canister set I am looking to purchase a Mepoco Canister set. I have one with a few broken pieces. Do you still have it available?
Re: Info Needed: German made Mepoco canister set On FANTIQUES.COM, you indicated that you had a Mepoco Canister Set. I am interested in purchasing. I have one with several pieces missing. Do you have a set available for sale?
Re: Info Needed: German made Mepoco canister set I have recently requested an appraisal, and should know the value within a week, and hopefully some information, but the set would never be for sale. I did find a partial set awhile back on ebay, but since then I can't find any like it at all.
Re: Info Needed: German made Mepoco canister set Have MEPOCO german export set, 6 large canisters, 6 small spice canisters, 2 creuts, salt box, all with matching lids. White pearlized finish with gold lines, English labeling and gold art-deco style embellishment. Mint condition, no chips or crazing, never used... Grannie had one with flowers which she used for storage. Will e-mail photo if interested. jef

Re: Info Needed: German made Mepoco canister set I think I have the same set. My fiance, back in 1974, passed away and this set was given to me. There are 15 pieces stamped Mepoco Ware in gold, #0443 Made in Germany with 2 hand painted green lines. This set is very valuable to me, but every time I have guests, they comment on the set, and I am curious to learn about the history, if in fact there is one.
Re: Info Needed: German made Mepoco canister set Hi! I just acquired the set with 6122 and wanted to know if anyone found out any info about this set. When was it made? I am missing some pieces as well. The salt, rice and nutmeg. The rest of the set is in mint condition. Any leads or info would be great.
Thanks,

6 cannisters with lids
1 Salt cellar with lid
1 teapot that is missing the lid.
I would like to sell it but have no idea of what it is worth or where to sell it. I would like to keep it off Ebay.
HELP!!
Re: Info Needed: German made Mepoco canister set "complete" sets bring over $200 (complete varies according to how big a set "grannie" bought)... mine has 12 canisters, six large and six small, the salt box and two cruets... no chips or crazing... gold design is a decal (transferred onto the glaze) many inexpensive sets made for export before WW II... my sister got the pink and green one with the flowers (from the pantry) which the family actually used... the pearl and gold one was displayed on the counter next to the dining room and was always empty... sort of, they hid their medications in the large canisters and spare $20.00s in the salt bax
Re: Info Needed: German made Mepoco canister set Just wanted to let you know that I think you can get more money for the pieces if you broke it up. Have you tried? I paid about 160 for my set and was missing a couple of pieces and to add them to the set I had to pay more per piece.

Re: Info Needed: German made Mepoco canister set Is all Mepoco ware old? I recently bought a vinegar & oil set stamped Mepoco Ware Made in Germany 6135. It looked like old sets I have seen and thought it would be an antique but when it came in the mail, I thought it looked new. It seems thicker than the old pieces I have seen and doesn't have any nicks.
Re: Info Needed: German made Mepoco canister set Hi Annette,
Just aquired the Mepoco oil cruet w/lid in mint condition. Was in a lot of "stuff" bought sight unseen. It has the same number (#6121) & description as the set you have and have been surfing the net to see if there was any value. Have you had any luck?

Re: Info Needed: German made Mepoco canister set I have 6022 also and it was my grandmother's, but I don't have as many pieces. Are you looking to sell it?
Re: Info Needed: German made Mepoco canister set Could someone post a picture of a canister?
Re: Info Needed: German made Mepoco canister set I too have a set of canisters with the same inscriptions on the bottom of them. The number 6022, made in Germany, handwritten number 12 and a capital R. It also is a goldish orange color and has various shades of pink flowers on them.I am not sure it's a complete set. The set has a salt container (that has a hole on top to hang it on the wall) along with the rice, flour, oatmeal, pepper, allspice and nutmeg containers with lids. All in excellent condition. I have no idea how much it's worth. Have you been able to find out any information on your set?
Re: Info Needed: German made Mepoco canister set Irma, if you're interested in selling your set of pattern 6022, please let me know. The few pieces I have aren't in the best of shape but it's such a lovely pattern. And for sentimental reasons I'd like to add to it. Thanks for your consideration.

Re: Info Needed: German made Mepoco canister set I have,I believe a 10 set, with tops and a salt contained, 5 large, 5 small, mother of pearl with gold trim on top of cannister and on top of the lids, flowers are pin and the number on the bottom is 2730. The lady was deceased and her landlord with permission from her priest brother said to sell them, this was in the 1960's. I know they were bought over from Germany during WW 11.

and I will always treasure this set. I would like to replace the smal lid if anyone would sell one to me. My set is Mother of Pearl with gold the flowers are puple, blue and pink. I also have the peice with the original clock. I would love to have some history about these canister sets. I thought that it was unusual but after reading all the messages, there are alot of them out there. Are any types more unique than others. I know my set is well over 75 years old.....thanks
