I have an Automatic Safe Co. bank with key. The bank is a longer chrome oval with slots for 1c, 5c, 10c, 25c, 50c and bills. It states Patent Pending on the bottom. It's from First Federal Savings & Loan in Detroit.

The key is different fr0m that pictured below. It has the middle slot and 2 notches on each side. It inserts into the top and a half turn releases the bottom from the top and the bottom slips out.

Hey, Got one of the "Traveling Teller" banks patent pending and mine takes the two sided key, can you by any chance send me a picture of your key? Got this from my mother, the bank of Virginia on top, lots of sentimental value. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Susan

I have one which shows on the bottom that the patent pending, does this mean mine is older?? I also dont have a key. It is issued by Quaker City Federal Savings and Loan Association out of Philadelphia. It also has a stamp on the top showing its insured up to $10,000. Anyone familiar with this "Traveling Teller" and anyone have any info about it?? Thanks alot!!!

My dad has two of these little banks, both empty, but both have keys and are in really good condition. They are both circa 1930-ish. He is curious as to their value. Has anyone found any information regarding their value?
