Info Needed: mexican bell from 1817 I don't know what it is or where it is from, but I want to. It is brass and very very heavy. It is about the size of a dinner plate on the bottom and the top is as big around as a soup bowl. There are designs on it that are curvy and right in the middle is a non decorated area that says 1817 and under that is says MEXICO. Those are the only clues I have. Someone has suggested that they were from the alamo, but I cannot find info on this. Please help me figure where this bell is from. My grandpa bought this at a yard sale a long time ago.
