Info Needed: Circa 1900 metal money holder ???? I have a metal case that when open has a little mirror in it on the left side, 2 slots that hold a dime and penney, the other side looks like it could hold paper money or slips of paper held in place by a thin metal tongue..... On the top of the case are two metal loops that look like at one time were connected to a chain.
Inside the case is stamped 'german silver' which I discoved is an alloy of copper, nickel and zinc.
The outside of the case is decorated with some kind of scene with people dancing in some kind of celebration (???)
I can take digital pictures and email to anyone that can help identify what this is and about when it was made.
thanks
