I just purchased a dish set of Blue Carntion dishes #4235 By Ironstone, i have a large set, does anyone know how i can find the value or where i could sell this to get the best value for them, They are beautiful and i realized they are valuable but i have small children and don't want to use them because i know they would get broken. I would like to sell the set but find out the value first. Thanks kelly

I also have fallen into a set of 8 service of blue carnation ironstone, complete with tea pot, creamer/sugar, butter dish. Could you tell me how much you found they were worth?

I saw a large set for sale for 1500.00 with a bunch of accesories, how big of a set do you have, a full 8 peice is probly worth several hundred dollars, I have looked these dishes up on replacements.com and they are pricy

I noticed your post was dated December 2009, however, I am still interested as to whether you still have your Blue Carnation dishes. I have a set of 8, missing one salad bowl. I bought the set new for $40.00 at Sears & Roebuck somewhere around 1975 or 1976. I do not know the current value.

I have the large platter of the same set. Did anyone find a source for current value?
